What Customers Say About Motorola RAZR V3m Red Phone (Sprint):

Battery life has been in the toilet ever since. Don't get me started, the first day I bought it, fully charged it lasted maybe 5 hrs.

My god, who created this software. I've had this phone for about 8 months now, and what a horrible experience it has been.

Oh god, and the battery life. It is unbelievably slow, and literally freezes on average about three times a day.

It freezes during texts, calls, internet, camera, EVERYTHING. I figured ok, maybe the battery needs to be broken in, WRONG.

This is the absolute worst garbage phone I have ever owned.

This has to be the worst phone I have ever owned. The battery life only lasts a few hours even after a full charge. It takes forever for it load or do anything. The sound is muffled. Hate it. I will never own another one.

AWFUL - don't buy it. The cover for the charger/data cable connection breaks and falls off.

The battery life is AWFUL. My experience with this phone has been terrible for the past year.

They couldn't fix the first phone and replaced it - after a few months, the same thing happened to my second phone. The features are great but are extremely temperamental.

This is my second phone to have a problem with texting where every text message suddenly becomes a mms message and costs me a fortune. The voice calling never consistantly gives me a choice between home or cell phone numbers - it's just an awful phone.

Don't let them GIVE it to you.

DON'T GET THIS. I got mine free and it wasn't worth it. It moves slows freezes and I was on my 3rd red razr when I finally replaced it.

I've had my v3m from Sprint for over a year now, and after having it for so long have a pretty good feel for it. I love the fact that the razrs easily hide in a pocket and are comfy to have in tow all day without having to resort to a belt-clip. Also a headset is a must, as it's much cheaper than the chiropractic treatments you'll need if you get in the habit of holding a phone that is only 1/4" thick between your head and shoulder. As a whole I've been content with this phone, I use it for phone calls 99% of the time, and Google Maps on occasion. However I could definately see how going from a really snappy phone to this one would feel like being stuck in the mud.The battery life for mine has been good until recently when it's suddenly fallen off, I can't complain that I got a year out of the battery. For my needs this phone works will, and I have no regrets getting it w/ my contract. However a friend has the product red model and her battery died after just a few months, and her second one is on its way out too. Firstly, the menus are slower than other phones--but they aren't unbearably slow in most cases. The only downfall to it's form is that the antenna is down by the microphone, right where you hold the phone a good chunk of the time--so you have to be conscience of this, especially in poor areas of reception.

I don't know if there's any hardware differences in the model or if I've just been lucky. My largest personal frustration was in not being able to charge the phone from a USB port without installing Motorola Phone Tools ($35). I ended up purchasing MPT to add/edit ringtones, sync my contacts and calendar, and keep backups of my phone--but until I put down the money I had to keep a charger with me whenever I went on the road; this defeats the purpose of having a standard port for charging and data-transfer.I bought this phone for its slim size, after having a Samsung Katana (which I returned after 2 days). The music function didn't really matter to me, and the built-in music player is pretty poor. However had I paid MSRP I would be quite uncontent, as it just isn't as polished as it should be.
